Cancellation Policy

7 Pillars of Wellness is a Perinatal, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry practice dedicated to providing the best quality, individualized therapy to all clients in our care. In order to be consistent with this philosophy, our practice uses an appointment system that sets aside ample time for a patient dependent on their current needs.

Sessions with Dr Alexander are typically scheduled for 50 minutes and it is a client’s responsibility to make the best use of that time.

 

If you do need to reschedule or cancel your session, we request that you provide a minimum of

  • 2 business days' notice for Ad Hoc/Medication appointments and

  • 4 weeks' notice for regular therapy sessions.

If you’ve opted-in to receive SMS reminders, you can cancel your appointment by simply replying to the SMS reminder.  We will then be in contact to reschedule your appointment. Alternatively, please phone our practice on 0423 871 661 to notify of any changes or cancellations.  If prior notification is not given, and your session cannot be filled, you will be issued a $220 cancellation fee for the missed appointment.

 

Please note that practice cancellation fees are not claimable through Medicare.

 

We understand that sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, you will need to reschedule your session.  While truly sympathetic, the practice cannot absorb the financial responsibility of last minute cancellations. The clinic does not double book appointment times but rather reserves specific times for each patient, affording individual care. In fairness to all clients, excepting cases of physical illness, this policy is in effect regardless of the reason for the cancellation.
